Restart

Fight, flight, or freeze are instinctive animal survival mechanisms. Today, survival has increasingly become an internal, personal struggle against the lack of time, information overload, political tension, multitasking, financial uncertainty, and the overall psycho-emotional strain of living under constant pressure.
Much like deer, humans tend to freeze during moments of heightened stress, finding themselves confused about their next move. The works in the exhibition likewise encourage the viewer to pause – not out of automatic reaction, but consciously. They serve as a reminder to occasionally restart one’s inner system amidst the rush of everyday life: to rest, take a moment to catch one’s breath, and reflect on how to preserve a meaningful, balanced way of being amidst the challenges of our time.
The exhibition brings together three metal artists, graduates of the Art Academy of Latvia Metal Design Department – Brūss Kalniņš, Mārtiņš Skuja and Aleksandra Federika Krastiņa.
