Ieva Viese
Sensitive Place

“Sensitive Place” is an exhibition about communication, memory, presence and distance. It turns towards where connection becomes possible, sensing thoughts, gnawing, buzzing, and bugs gathering around points of connection.
Ieva Viese is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice brings together spatial and sculptural objects, text, sound and moving image. Her work turns to themes of embodiment, memory, communication and understanding.
Part of the exhibition is the artist’s book "Diengraužu lapas / Day-Gnawer Pages", created in the form of a telephone directory. Its core team, alongside the artist, includes @ainarskamolins and @ldjzn.
